Chandigarh (Haryana Live): Bhupinder Singh Hooda led Government in Haryana recommended the dissolution of state assembly after a cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hooda on Friday in Chandigarh.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda led Government in Haryana recommended the dissolution of state assembly after a cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hooda on Friday in Chandigarh.

The recommendation has been sent to Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia., who has accepted the recommendation.

However the term of present assembly elections was to end in March 2010, but Congress led government in Haryana is seeking early elections, likely to be held in October along with assembly polls in Maharashtra.

While addressing the media after the meeting Hooda told reporters, "The cabinet has unanimously recommended immediate dissolution of the assembly to the Haryana governor. We have done it because it was the wish of the people and also of the opposition."

Congress is quite confident for its win after winning nine Lok Sabha seats out of ten in the April-May general elections. So Congress is going to cash this pro-Congress wave as an opportune moment.
