Panipat, Yamunanagar Thermal Power Projects Face Acute Coal Scarcity

Yamunanagar (Haryana Live): Yamunanagar Thermal Power Project of 600 MW and the Super Thermal Plant, Panipat, of 1360 MW are facing coal scarcity.

Yamunanagar (Haryana Live): Yamunanagar Thermal Power Project of 600 MW and the Super Thermal Plant, Panipat, of 1360 MW are facing coal scarcity.

As per information Yamunanagar thermal plant has left with coal for one day i.e. it has only around 10000 metric tonnes coal stock, whereas, Panipat thermal plant with While 69,000 tonnes of coal can run for three days more if coal do not receives.

It si to mention that the daily coal consumption of 600 MW Yamunanagar thermal is around 10000 metric tonnes as compare to1,360 MW Panipat thermal plant which consumes 24000 tonnes coal in a day.

The reason said to be behind the short supply of coal is that coal companies are not satisfied with the payment schedules and rates of Power utilities.
